The Daughter Of Democracy Dies.

It was 27 December, 2007 when I sat stunned in front of my TV set. For the first time ever, I was taking interest in news. The headlines dashed "The daughter of democracy is NO MORE." I was shocked and dumbstruck. The ONLY democrat in Pakistan had left.
Today, the same date reminds me of this great soul that departed. As we celebrate her third death anniversary, it is evident to note that ever since this great soul left Pakistan has had its economy in ruins, almost no plan for the deficit budget was ever made.
Benazir Bhutto was the leader of a centre-lest People's Party in Pakistan. She was the first Muslim woman to chair a People's Party and had been a Prime Minister twice. She was also the wife of current PakistanPM Asif Ali Zardari.

After the overthrow of her father Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's government in a bloodless coup Benazir Bhutto spent the next eighteen months in and out of house arrest as she struggled to rally political support to force Zia to drop murder charges against her father. The military dictator ignored worldwide appeals for clemency and had Zulfikar Bhutto hanged in April 1979. Following the hanging of her father Bhutto was arrested repeatedly, however, following PPP's victory in the local elections Zia postponed the national elections indefinitely and moved Bhutto and her mother Nusrat Bhutto from Karachi to Larkana. This was the seventh time Benazir had been arrested within two years of the military coup. Repeatedly put under house arrest, the regime finally imprisoned her under solitary confinement in a desert cell in Sindhi province during the summer of 1981. She described the conditions in her wall-less cage in her book "Daughter of Destiny"

This Christmas was something special. I came face to face with the heartbeat of a metropolitan city. Never before had I given a serious thought to CROWDS! In fact, I'm allergic. Today for me the day begun at 10:00 am, when I woke up. Today was supposed to be an all fun no study day. I had my plans saved for the day. I went to Select City Walk with a few of my close friends. I saw 100000z of people all around, pushing and gushing through the queues. Doing all sorts of stuff. A good thing : I saw the economical stature GAP. People belonging to the lower strata were dressed in local brand. Middle class masses were in umm espirit and stuff. Ed Hardy, Chanel etc were the sole indicators of HIGH CLASS ;)
..So this was the differentiation on basis of clothes in the best and the largest mall in India. I could see splendid lights, dazzling stuff put up. The mall was decorated like a newly wed bride. {To be modest} I could see the amount of creativity and MONEY put into this dazzling piece of art.
And the day ended.

Being modest, I had fun. But, was this the REAL message of Christmas?
The poor people were left behind, and the rich were flaunting their riches. WOW.

Its never too late to let somebody know :) {I do NOT own this.}

10th grade

As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She was my so called "best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair, and wished she was mine. But she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. After class, she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before and handed them to her. She said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

11th grade

The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After 2 hours, one movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep. She looked at me, said "Thanx" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Senior year

The day before prom she walked to my locker. My date is sick" she said; he's not going to go well, I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade, we made a promise that if neither of us had dates, we would go together just as "best friends". So we did. Prom night, after everything was over, I was standing at her front door step. I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes. I want her to be mine, but she isn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said "I had the best time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Graduation Day

A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, "you're my best friend, thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

A Few Years Later

Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl is getting married now. I watched her say "I do" and drive off to her new life, married to another man. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't see me like that, and I knew it. But before she drove away, she came to me and said "you came!". She said "thanks" and kissed me on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Funeral

Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my "best friend". At the service, they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read: I stare at him wishing he was mine, but he doesn't notice me like that, and I know it. I want to tell him, I want him to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love him but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me! `I wish I did too...` I thought to my self, and I cried.

Dreadful Neighbours.

It is most abject that India is situated in an inferno- like location- sandwiched by savages. On the western frontier, a failed state, who persistently attempts to de-stabalize our nation. December 2001 parliment attacks, Kandahar and the 26/11 catastrophe are just a few events to name formulated on Pakistan soil. They saw their ranks reduce rapidly when their honorable President Mr Asif Ali Zardari admitted that the nation nutured extremism and made fanatic efforts to cause bedlam in India. We will be viwed callow if we even asume Pakistan is sincere in comabtting extremism. Hafiz Mohammed Saeed, the master mind of the Mumabat attacks remains a free bird despite the fact India has submitted myriad dossiers containing vital evidence adequate to trigger serious action. Frequesnt incursions by the crude chinese army takes place on the north eastern and norther frontiers. It is evident that China will never give up it's policy on imperialism. They are under deep misconception- India is too powerful to be invaded. Arunanchal Pradesh an integral and inseparable fragment of our nation appears on the political map of China! Now, it's clear why China and Pakistan are considered ''all weather buddies''- Birds of the same feather flock together. Alas, it is improper not to include Nepal In our admirers' list. The ex-nepalese Prince in colaboration with Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence are circulating fake notes into India. Our New nuclear capable submarine is a paragon of streamlined modern technology. Our government spends approximately 90,000 crores on defence forces annualy which should shoot to 120,000 crores.
The mobilization of armed forces on the Sino-Indian border is an omen of an upcoming high profile war.
Pardoning the 26/11 plotters by the Pakistanis is clearly an instrument of Insult. Indeed The Republic of India is a democracy in it's true colours however I am ashamed to ackowledge the fact that Afzal- a pakistani national responsible for the parliment attacks still is intact! Moreover, Mohammed Ajmal Amir Quasab, a babaric millitant responsible for the 26/11 massacre hasn't been castigated. I have deep and sincere respect for the Law of The Land byt after myriad evidence (to the extent that the village from which Quasab hails recognized him!) why shall his execution be halted? For crying out loud, he himself admits his deeds! I am often caught in the mire of ambiguity...How long will India's quiescent behaviour last? When will the torpor fade?

IMPRUDENCE - Barack HUSSEIN Obama

He is able to dazzle with his eloquent tongue and wit but there is a profound saying "practise what you preach". Deeds are higher than words. He may posses brilliant oratory skills but his pedestal has been shattered in the eyes of many who seek justice. Indeed, he is at the highest position man can achieve on this planet but that fails to justify the fact that India should be submissive. Within the first few months of his reign, he tripled the annual aid to Pakistan for the next five consecutive years starting from 2009. An internal pentagon report clearly suggested that the aid given by the United states to the Islamic republic of Pakistan was used for funding activities against India. This may be viewed or thought if as a bilateral subject in the eyes of the united states but the pain can only be felt by those who Lost beloved ones. This came into the lime light only a couple of months ago but was well- known earlier on. The 26/11 massacre in Mumbai has left a scar which can never heal. Obama's actions depict and demonstrate his double-standards. It would be indeed nice to see him get a taste of his own medicine.

Mr. Barack Obama, I'm a juvenile teenager from India. My prediction for the year 2012 is that the headlines would state *Barack HUSSEIN Obama chairs Al-Qaeda. Taliban Celebrates.* Other than giving incredibly long speeches, endorsing brands, touring the world, making fake promises...You've failed to do anything substantial. I come from a country where people are living at their worst and at their best. I don't know what the situation is like in America. We have high hopes from you. We saw your wife cook, dance and do stuff. We saw you spend money on Pakistan. Encouraging the terrorist activities, We saw you ARREST Julian Assange. We still kept quiet. No more. Please, do something evident.

Weekendzz...

I woke up at 12:30. After a big long nap. Had a great headache. Migraine attack, excruciating pain. This was my normal introduction to how any weekend begins.. It was a bit different than the other weekends though :D In the context that I was done with all my homework...I had nothing to do today. (That's the reason am blogging.)
The life of a hypersomniac has always been this way. Scowls from your parents when you get up. Tag of the *Sleepy Head* Today was something different. I was asked the dreaded question!

"Where do you see yourself 20 years from now?" My mother asked.
Puzzle headed I thought, At 12:30 on a sunday Morning..Umm, 20 years from now probably sleeping ^_^
"High time you gave a thought to career." mom said when I wasn't able to reply
....And the fuss began.
Ever since that question arose, it never managed to get an answer. If you ask a teenager what do wanna be in life the answers would be doctor, scientist bla bla bla. But what if somebody was not clear?
"What do you want me to do? I mean in life?" I asked.
"Well, I want you to be a doctor."
"That's INSANE. I can't keep studying 24X7!"
"How about English Hons.?"
"Not interested."
This was what every weekend was like. I was asked what I wanted to be and I never answered.
For being a doctor, I had to study too much.
For being an engineer, I had to be good at maths.
For being an architect, I had to be good at art. (I'm just making that up to show my lack of interest)
So,
R.I.P. doctor, engineer and architect.
There was just one thing I was god at : SHOUTING.
Ah! There is goes, am gonna be a politician :)
Decided.
But that would mean migraine attacks almost everyday. Out of the question.
How about an astronaut? Too kiddish, forget it.
Maybe I should just let fate decide. The day ends. I go back to sleep.
< SIGH >
For all the Teenagers looking for an answer to the same Question : Life knows what's best for you. It won't let your talent go futile. Don't think too much..Chill :)
[This is not the time to make hard and fast decisions, this is the time to make mistakes. To get stuck somewhere. Life never comes with an instruction manual. everything can NOT be right..]
I bet 20 years from now,
.
.
.
.
I would be SOMETHING which am proud of  :)

My Super Psycho Sweet 16

What doesn't KILL you, Makes you strong

Ever felt the igniting urge to accomplish something that's been starving to come out since long? Sick of things that are always bottled deep within? All this is really common, But the big thing arises when...We Look at how we deal with issues. Some people try concealing them, by putting on a fake smile. Some people try being ok with the idea and get adapted to it. Some people just keep questioning themselves as to Why always ONLY ME?

Whatever these people do, is called being a hypocrite. Why not stand up for what you believe in? Even if it sometimes means standing up alone. What we always do is just keep forgetting. We aren't Gods, Are we?
Why don't we stand up for a concern? Everyone just keeps on saying this would pass. This is just a test. Agreed it is, but why just sit back and keep watching like an idiot? Why not stand up and show the world what your worth.

Just think, If whatever is going wrong has to be set right..Someone has to have a VOICE. Why wait for a leader? In a world full of malpractices and no social equity all we can expect is cheating and backstabbing. That happens..Doesn't it? But what do we do for it? Just keep wishing it wasn't there? Is this gonna help anyways?

The truth gets murdered..Every now and then. What a person needs today is to believe in himself, and to have faith that he himself is the CHOSEN ONE who can set the wrongs right. He is the one who has the power to change the world. Coming to a democratic country, We criticize the government we ourselves vote for? Isn't that actually funny? Why act like a parasite on your own motherland?

What is the need of the hour? It is to stop hiding under the mask of hypocrisy and unveiling a new world, A world which is full of justice and brotherhood. A world that has no scope for cheating and being back stabbed.

So next time you feel the ignite within, don't just sit back and keep watching..Instead Stand up for what you believe in :)

The Good Things In life :)

In Washington, DC, at a Metro Station, on a cold January morning in 2007, this man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, approximately 2,000 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After about 3 minutes, a middle-aged man noticed that there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds, and then he hurried on to meet his schedule. About 4 minutes later: The violinist received his first dollar. A woman threw money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk. At 6 minutes: A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

At 10 minutes:A 3-year old boy stopped, but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head the whole time. This action was repeated by several other children, but every parent - without exception - forced their children to move on quickly. At 45 minutes:The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace. The man collected a total of $32.After 1 hour: He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed and no one applauded. There was no recognition at all. No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before, Joshua Bell sold-out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $200 each to sit and listen to him play the same music. This is a true story. Joshua Bell, playing incognito in the D.C. Metro Station, was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people's priorities. This experiment raised several questions: * In a common-place environment, at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty? * If so, do we stop to appreciate it? * Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context? One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made . . . How many other things are we missing as we rush through life? ??????????

Into The Roots Of Reality

Another day begins..
The insanity of human beings goes flamboyant,
Wondering minds with thoughts which need answers
The vision of a new world is a Blur.
People will be people,
Who may sometimes change color
And you may find yourself in extraordinary idiocy :P

Thats the time life demands a reply
Don't sit back, watch then regret and finally cry
Where the mind looses its capability to think,
When you find yourself in a facade..
Just tell yourself, I can't loose my calm.
The facade starts where I give up.
Its upto me, to make a change..
or to cry in vain
The world won't drift..
The ideas of greed, jealousy and ugly competition would be widespread.
Where children would forget the joys of childhood..
and the only thing engrossing them would be complex mathematical problems.
Where the country you live in would go through the face of dark..
That would be the time of a revolution
A change that slowly embarks a new beginning..
When life throws a test which is not pretty simple,
When the world around you begins to end at a horizon which doesn't have a clear motive
That is the time your being tested..

Don't hold back..let your thoughts free.
'Coz its you, who are " The one "
The one who can emerge as an inspiration,
The one who can imbue in the youth the feelings which were legends..
Patriotism is only on paper..Criticism is the real star.
What are we heading to?
Another war?
Time to awaken from the slumber has arrived..
For now is the moment for the " RISING "

Rediscover The Indian Inside You

How many times have you given a thought to patriotism? Or is that just a one-day show? Only applicable for 26th January and 15th August. The era has totally changed. From a period where love of nation was above all, to a country where people and into the Western culture more than ever before. Is this the India Mahatma Gandhi had dreamt of?

What’s good in being a country that’s upto no good? Well, to start off with..India is the mother of democracy. A country where all the people belonging to diverse backgrounds dwell together in harmony. Where culture has always been preserved. A country that is still a developing economy, but has still managed to launch “Chandrayaan” into space.
A country where everyone is treated with an eye of equality. A country that provides the best all round education to the children. Still not enough?

It may also interest you to know how the US President introduced our Prime Minister to his wife, “ Meet the Prime Minister of such a country where more than 100 million Muslims reside, and not even 1 member of Al-Qaeda.”

Coming to another question, What has this country done for me? Ever looked the other way round..What have you done for your country? What is your contribution to the fastest growing economy in the world? What suddenly happens to you when you step at the airport of Dubai? A complete change. You stop littering, you stop corrupt malpractices, you start learning etiquettes. Where is this lost when you are in India?

As you already might have heard..No country is perfect. It is the people whose constant efforts help a country in being successful. With over 79% of the population employed accounting for 80 crore out of 105 crore people employed, the second largest army in the way and the fastest growing economy, these are some of the success stories in Indian History. Want More?
India is the first in the history of any developing economy to host the Commonwealth Games which are by far the most expensive games ever. Developments in the field of education, health, infrastructure are widely seen.

And talk of the opening ceremony..A grand EPIC. Even the Brits were on their feet when the National Anthem was played. No one can ever put together a country with such beautiful national integrity and culture that’s aged a million years and still the evergrowing bond of love, unity and fraternity continues to grow J This is what makes me love India!
